S90.02 (also written S90-02) is Arcitura Education's SOA Technology Concepts exam in the SOA Certified Professional (SOACP) program. It tests the technologies used to build services: XML, XML Schema, WSDL, SOAP, WS-* and REST. TroyTec offers 91 S90.02 practice questions in PDF and Online Test Engine formats.
S90.02 is the technology foundation of Arcitura's SOA Certified Professional program. S90.03 covers how services should be designed. S90.02 covers what services are built with: the markup languages, contract formats, messaging frameworks and Web standards that every service-oriented solution depends on.
The exam covers three technology families. The first is XML and XML Schema, the data foundation for service messages and contracts. The second is Web services: WSDL service descriptions, SOAP messaging and the WS-* extensions that add addressing, policy and security. The third is REST: resources, HTTP methods, response codes and the constraints that make a service RESTful. You'll also need to know service implementation mediums (components, Web services and REST services), service roles, and the message exchange patterns services use to communicate.
Arcitura's current Module 2, Microservice Technology Concepts, keeps S90.02's technology core and adds JSON and JSON Schema, hypermedia and late binding, and cloud computing concepts such as IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, scaling and elasticity. TroyTec's S90.02 question bank focuses on the core technologies shared by both versions, which makes it useful groundwork for the current SOA Architect and SOA Analyst tracks.
Developers and integration engineers starting out with service-oriented development.
Architects and analysts who need a solid technical base before design-level exams.
Candidates preparing for S90.03 SOA Design & Architecture or S90.05 SOA Technology Lab, which applies S90.02's technologies hands-on.
Start with XML. Learn XML syntax, namespaces, and XML Schema types and structures. WSDL and SOAP both depend on them.
Learn the Web services stack. Study WSDL definition structure, SOAP message structure, and the purpose of each major WS-* specification.
Compare with REST. Know REST constraints, HTTP methods and response codes, and when REST suits a service better than SOAP-based Web services.
Practice under time pressure. Use TroyTec's Online Test Engine to check recall and understanding across all three technology families.

S90.02 is Arcitura Education's SOA Technology Concepts exam in the SOA Certified Professional program. It tests the technologies used to build services: XML, XML Schema, WSDL, SOAP, WS-* and REST.
Yes. Arcitura writes the code as S90.02, and many sites use S90-02. Both refer to the SOA Technology Concepts exam.
In Arcitura's current curriculum, the subject is Module 2, Microservice Technology Concepts. It keeps the core XML, Web services and REST topics and adds JSON, hypermedia and cloud computing concepts.
S90.02 tests conceptual knowledge of SOA technologies. S90.05 SOA Technology Lab tests applying those same technologies in hands-on scenarios.
S90.02 covers the technologies services are built with. S90.03 covers how services should be designed, using the eight principles of service-orientation.
