The AWS-Developer-Associate (AWS Certified Developer – Associate) exam is intended for those who perform a developer role and have experience developing and maintaining an AWS-based application. This exam validates an examinee's ability to:

  • Understand core AWS services, uses, and basic AWS architecture best practices
  • Use AWS developer tools to write code and deploy applications on AWS
  • Use AWS service and application programming interfaces (APIs) to write applications
  • Write code using at least one high-level programming language, such as Java, .NET, or Python
  • Understand the basics of the AWS shared responsibility model
  • Understand and apply the basics of application lifecycle management

The AWS-Developer-Associate exam consists of multiple-choice and multiple-response questions designed to test the examinee's knowledge and skills in these areas. Upon passing the exam, individuals will receive the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification, demonstrating their ability to design and maintain applications on the AWS platform.
