The Advanced Deploy VMware vRealize Automation 8.x (v2) exam (3V0-31.22) is the qualifying exam for VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Cloud Management and Automation Deploy 2024 (VCAP-CMA Deploy 2024). It is an advanced-level credential, one tier above VCP-CMA. It validates that you can deploy, configure, troubleshoot and operate vRealize Automation in real production scenarios.
Unlike multiple-choice VCP exams, 3V0-31.22 is a performance-based exam. You complete 12 practical tasks in a live lab environment. That format rewards speed, accuracy and real hands-on skill rather than memorization.
The exam covers vRealize Automation 8.6, SaltStack Config (now Aria Automation Config) and vRealize Orchestrator. VMware has since renamed vRealize Automation to Aria Automation, but the exam code, title and content are still based on version 8.6.
